An Evening of Wine & Roses is the community’s premiere social event. This annual fundraiser brings together the region’s finest culinary delights and the world’s best tasting wines and spirits. Continuing with the culinary theme, the Newton Medical Center Foundation each year welcomes a celebrity chef to the event, the proceeds from which benefit Newton Medical Center and the community it serves.

Held each year at the pristine Lake Mohawk Golf Club, this summer time event brings together community leaders, business men, donors and golf enthusiasts for good times on the links and a chance to win a Mercedes Bend with a hole-in-one. In the evening, attendees gather in one of the Golf Club’s grand ball rooms for dinners, giveaways and raffles.

The 5th Annual Merrill Lynch Pro Tennis Classic Presented by Eastern Propane and Audi Newton brings world-class tennis action to Sparta with the net proceeds raised from the event going to Newton Medical Center Foundation. For more information, please visit www.SpartaTennis.com.

In 2012, the C. Edward McCracken Festival of Lights celebrated 21 years of brightening the holiday season for hospitalized patients and their families. During the intervening years, Ed’s vision has been universally embraced by the community and medical center family inspiring vital donations including trees and lights in memory and in honor of loved ones. The Event transforms the Hospital grounds, dramatically illuminating the main entrance with enduring hope and a spectacular fireworks display.
