Electrocardiograms, or EKG’s, are used by the physicians to diagnose various cardiac disorders, such as conduction disorders, arrhythmias, and heart attacks. Our cardiologists use EKG’s to determine the course of cardiac treatment and to assess how the heart is responding to treatment. EKG’s are also an essential part of preadmission testing for certain medical and surgical procedures and tests.
