NEWTON – The most dynamic cardiology group in the region recently added two experienced professionals, enhancing the group’s range of services and already impressive level of care.

Cardiology Associates of Sussex County is proud to announce the additions of David S. Buyer, M.D. and Maria Leda Bazsa, M.S., R.N.

Dr. Buyer, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, received his Medical Degree from New York Medical College. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and has practiced medicine for 10 years at Newton Memorial Hospital, where he is currently Chief of the Department of Medicine.

He is well known throughout the region as a former associate of Cardiology Medical Associates of Northwest New Jersey. He recently left the practice to join Cardiology Associates of Sussex County.

Dr. Buyer is licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. He is part of an impressive cardiology team at Newton Memorial Hospital that does cardiology diagnostic testing at the Charles L. Tice Heart Center for Diagnostic Services, which opened less than two years ago. The NMH Cardiology Team includes Paul J. Owens, M.D., Robert L. Masci, M.D. and Richard C. Redline, M.D., all of whom do private practice work at Cardiology Associates of Sussex County.

Ms. Bazsa, a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, also left Cardiology Associates of Northwest New Jersey to join Cardiology Associates of Sussex County. She is well versed in the evaluation and management of cardiac patients.

She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University’s School of Nursing. Ms. Basza has received National Certification for Critical Care Nursing as well as Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification and Intra-aortic Balloon Pump Certification.
