Diabetes Night Out Set For Nov. 12

NEWTON – Diabetes patients and their friends and family are invited to the 6th Annual Diabetes Night Out program, which will feature keynote speaker Lakshmi Sodagum, M.D. who will discuss “Understanding Diabetic Kidney Disease.”

The program will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 12th at Perona Farms. The cost is $23 per person.

Approximately 20 million American adults suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Diabetes is the most common diagnosis among those who suffer from CKD, accounting for 45 percent of new cases. Early identification is vital to prevent the onset or to slow the progression of kidney failure.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Sodagum will discuss what you can do to prevent Chronic Kidney Disease.
