REDFERN GOLF OUTING SET FOR JULY 13

NEWTON – Nearly 200 community and business leaders will descend on the Lake Mohawk Golf Club July 13 to the hit the links for a great cause: to raise funds for Newton Memorial Hospital, the community healthcare provider of choice in the region.
And you’re invited to participate in myriad ways. You can create a four-some of your own, enter our 50/50 Golf-Ball Drop or show your support via small or large sponsorship opportunities.
The 37th Annual Frank Redfern Memorial Golf Open is the golf outing all others aspire to be and it honors the memory of Frank Redfern, an ardent supporter of Newton Memorial who enjoyed the many amazing golf courses Sussex County offers its residents. Every year, the Golf Open’s popularity grows and the proceeds support the Hospital as it strives to meet the healthcare needs of this growing region.
Last year, the Newton Memorial Hospital Foundation added a new component, the 50/50 Golf-Ball Drop. Raffle tickets are $10 each and participants will be assigned numbered golf balls. The golf balls will be dropped from a hot-air balloon onto the 9th fairway, and the golf ball that lands nearest to the target wins. Last year, the winner received $15,000.
This year, the proceeds of the event will benefit the Newton Memorial Hospital Foundation’s campaign to raise funds for the Hospital’s Maternity Renovation Project.
