NEWTON – Pamela Alberto, D.M.D., an Oral Surgeon, has been named assistant dean of pre-doctoral education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Dental School. Dr. Alberto has been attending physician in the Newton Memorial Hospital Department of Surgery since 1984.
As assistant dean, Dr. Alberto will oversee the dental school curriculum. Among her goals in her new role is to develop an evidence-based dental school curriculum that incorporates new technology.
Dr. Alberto earned her doctor of dental medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania-School of Dental Medicine and her specialty certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the International College of Dentistry. She is a member of the International Society of Plastics, Anesthetics and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Alberto lives in Kinnelon, Morris County, with her husband, Gregory Wroclawski, and their two children, Daniel and Catherine Wroclawski.
