The Medical and Affiliate Staff of Newton Memorial Hospital awarded a second scholarship to Karen Mauro. Also pictured is David Meltz, M.D., who retired in 2007 as the Hospital’s Vice President of Medical Affairs.

Three area high school students received scholarships of $2,000 apiece from the Auxiliary of Newton Memorial Hospital earlier this summer. Pictured are Kaila Hoer (left) and Nicole Tormey, both graduates of Pope John XXIII High School, and Joseph Marrin, a graduate of High Point Regional High School.
