Newton Medical Center has a full-service laboratory that is accredited by The Joint Commission. The Laboratory is located on the first floor of the hospital just past the Patient Access area. Someone at the Information Desk can direct you.

The Newton Medical Center Outpatient Laboratory is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., as well as Saturday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Most patients are seen on a walk-in basis.

The Laboratory completed more than 1 million tests in 2006, making us the lab of choice in our service area. With a staff of over 60 professionals, including two pathologists, the Laboratory is open around the clock every day of the year. Newton Medical Center has more than 50 years of experience in Laboratory services, making us a trusted, highly experienced provider. Stringent quality control programs are an integral part of all testing.

Newton Medical Center also has Lab Connection facilities conveniently located throughout the area and offer complete laboratory services through physician referral. Lab Connection is backed by the full-service, licensed and fully accredited Newton Medical Center Laboratory. No appointments are necessary, but written prescriptions are required.
