The Newton Memorial Hospital Maternity Center delivers nearly 700 babies each year in a comfortable, state-of-the-art environment surrounded by a staff of skilled, compassionate nurses and physicians.

The Hospital is proud to announce that as of Spring 2009, the Center is fully renovated to better accommodate you and your growing family during your stay. The suites allow for complete privacy and now feature flat-screen televisions as well as upgrades to both interior finishes and furniture. Other renovations include new flooring in public corridors and upgrades to family waiting areas, all set in a palette of cool, calming colors.

While the Hospital has made improvements to the appearance of the Center, the unwavering commitment to quality care has remained constant. The staff at the NMH Maternity Center is dedicated to providing personalized care to ensure the healthy birth of your baby.

Newton Memorial Hospital strives to coordinate all possible resources to make certain you, as well as relatives, are as comfortable as possible in the Hospital’s family-oriented setting. Recently, staff members accommodated two families by helping to broadcast births via Web cam so husbands serving in the Armed Forces overseas could witness the birth of their children.

The Center also offers around-the-clock pain management, which includes epidural anesthesia, and access to our Pediatric Hospitalists, who are full-time in-house pediatricians who can care for your baby in conjunction with your pediatrician.

In addition, the Hospital’s Level II Intermediate Care Facility provides access to state-of-the-art technology that can diagnose and treat selected high-risk pregnancies and neonatal concerns.
