The Newton Memorial Hospital Center for Mental Health has been providing care to the region since the 1970s. In 1980, the Center for Mental Health was constructed as part of an expansion and renovation project at the Hospital. The Center has been recognized as a premier comprehensive resource dedicated to identifying and meeting the behavioral healthcare needs of people in Sussex County and adjacent areas. Today, the Center for Mental Health touches the lives of thousands.

The Center provides a comprehensive range of behavioral health services for youth, adults, and families on an outpatient and inpatient basis.
