The Sleep Diagnostic & Treatment Center is one of Newton Memorial Hospital’s most recent expansions. Newton Memorial has had an established Sleep Center since 1988, but recently relocated the service to a brand new facility at 222 High Street, located across the street from the hospital’s Main Campus.

The first of its kind in Northwest New Jersey, the Center provides the complete scope of diagnostic and treatment services for a variety of sleep disorders. Patients are greeted in a private, comfortable “bed and breakfast” setting and are invited to sleep in one of four treatment rooms that resemble your bedrooms at home.

Although it is a laboratory, the inside of the new center looks more like a hotel, complete with private baths, large double beds and plasma-screen televisions. Patients spend a night in the rooms while their sleep cycles are monitored and observed on computers by technicians across the hall.
