About Our Hospital

Newton Memorial Hospital is a short term, acute care 148-bed hospital located in Northwestern New Jersey. Newton Memorial maintains a clinical affiliation with Atlantic Health System for referral of patients. Newton Memorial Hospital physicians represent more than 40 specialties and subspecialties. In addition, our consulting staff of physician-specialists includes endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, nephrologists, oncologists, orthopedists, pediatric neurologists, and reconstructive maxillofacial surgeons.

Physicians at NMH take an active role in shaping the hospital's policies and programs through participation on the Board of Directors, the Medical Executive Committee, and a Primary Care Focus Group that directs strategic planning for the future.

NMH also offers a physician referral service (973-579-8340) that matches patients' healthcare needs with an NMH practitioner. Newton Memorial Hospital offers other services including The Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, advanced diagnostics and treatments, laboratory and pathology services, and the Center for Mental Health.
