Newton Medical Center Foundation announces $3 million Capital Campaign
Newton Medical Center Foundation has announced a $3 million fundraising campaign for substantial renovations and service expansions. The 12 month capital campaign entitled, “Imagine” opened with a significant challenge: a donor, who has asked to remain anonymous, is pledging $1 million – but only if the $3 million is raised.
Hospital officials gathered February 9 in the hospital’s lobby to discuss the effort. Those who spoke included Newton Medical Center Foundation board Chair Mark Avondoglio, whose mother was the 17th baby born at the hospital in 1933; foundation trustee Larry Condit, whose grandparents donated the land on which the hospital was built; and Bob McCracken, who was born at the hospital and chairs its advisory board.
With the merger with Atlantic Health System, we have created a new partnership – one that will provide significant resources and enable NMC to continue to provide patient-focused care to our friends, family and community.
The Capital Campaign for 2012 will raise $3 million to support several new initiatives at Newton Medical Center including:
A new Conference and Education Center that will provide a state-of-the-art learning environment for our physicians, nurses and staff.
A new in-patient unit that will include 22 State-of-the-Art Private Rooms for increased patient and family satisfaction.
The creation of the Newton Medical Center MRI Suite for enhanced imaging services in a personalized setting.
An upgraded OT/PT/Wound Care Center with new technology services and features.
An improved Visitor Entrance, Lobby and Pre-Admission Testing area to provide greater ease and access for our patients.
100% of all funds raised for the Newton campus, remain here, to support the facility upgrades and health initiatives of Newton Medical Center.
